Multiplication is repeated addition. For example, 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 is 4 copies of 3, and that is written as 4 • 3, or 4 x 3. Memorising the multiplication tables is important because multiplication is of use in day-to-day life problems.
Here, you can learn about the basics of area - what it is, and how to find the area of squares and rectangles. I do not cover how to find the area of circles, triangles, or other shapes (that are not rectangles or squares). This video is recommended for people in grades 2-3.
